What is basmati rice?

Basmati rice is an extra-long grain aromatic rice grown in the Punjab regions of India and Pakistan. The grains lengthen significantly when cooked and stay separate and fluffy. Siam Valley Grain Export sources and supplies basmati rice; it is not grown in Thailand, and its origin is stated on every quotation and document.

Is your basmati rice grown in Thailand?

No. Basmati rice is grown in India and Pakistan. Siam Valley Grain Export sources and supplies basmati for buyers who want it together with Thai rice, and its true origin is stated on every quotation and shipping document.

What is sella basmati rice?

Sella basmati is parboiled basmati rice. It is steamed in the husk before milling, which makes the grains firmer and less likely to break. Golden sella has a deeper golden colour.

Is there a minimum order quantity (MOQ) for basmati rice?

Order quantities for basmati rice are agreed directly between each buyer and our export team, based on grade, packing and delivery schedule. It can also be combined with other rice types or bag sizes in a mixed container, and regular buyers can arrange scheduled shipments.
