What rice does Siam Valley Grain export?
We export Thai Hom Mali rice, jasmine and fragrant rice, parboiled rice, long grain white rice, glutinous sticky rice, Riceberry, red, brown, black and trio rice, and A1 Super broken rice, all grown in Thailand. We also source and supply basmati, japonica, Arborio and Carnaroli rice, with each origin clearly stated.
As a wholesale Thai rice supplier, we work only with business buyers. Each product can be supplied in full container loads, from a single 20ft container to thousands of tons under a supply contract.

Rice grades and specifications explained
Three terms decide most rice prices. Knowing them helps you compare offers from any exporter.
- Broken %The share of broken kernels in the rice. 5% broken is a premium, clean grade; 25% broken is a value grade; A1 Super is 100% broken rice for processing.
- SortexedColour sorted by optical machines that remove discoloured, chalky and damaged grains, giving a more uniform look.
- Crop yearNew crop rice has the strongest aroma and softest texture. Old crop, stored for six months or more, cooks firmer and fluffier.
- PurityFor Thai Hom Mali, the share of genuine Hom Mali grains, which must be at least 92% under the Thai standard.

Which Thai rice is most popular for export?
Thai Hom Mali (jasmine) rice, parboiled rice and long grain white rice are the most exported. Hom Mali leads in premium retail markets such as the USA, Europe and the Middle East, while parboiled 5% sortexed rice is the preferred choice across West Africa.
What is the difference between Thai Hom Mali rice and jasmine rice?
Thai Hom Mali rice is the highest grade of Thai jasmine rice and must contain at least 92% Hom Mali grains under the Thai Ministry of Commerce standard. Jasmine and fragrant rice is a wider category that includes Pathum Thani fragrant rice and blends, with a milder aroma and lower price.
What does 5% broken mean for rice?
It means no more than 5% of the rice kernels in the lot are broken pieces. Lower broken percentages look cleaner and cost more. We supply white rice at 5%, 10%, 15% and 25% broken, and A1 Super, which is 100% broken rice for processing.
Do you supply rice that is not grown in Thailand?
Yes. Alongside Thai rice, we source and supply basmati rice from India and Pakistan and Italian-type Arborio and Carnaroli rice. The true origin of every product is stated on this page, on our quotations and on the shipping documents.
Can I mix different rice products in one container?
Yes. Mixed container loads are possible, for example Thai Hom Mali in 5 kg retail bags with parboiled rice in 25 kg bags. This is a practical way to test new products with your customers before ordering full containers of each.
