What is Thai cargo rice?
Cargo rice, also called loonzain or husked brown rice, is rice that has had only its outer husk removed. The bran layer stays on the grain, so it is a whole grain brown rice. Buyers either sell it as brown rice or re-mill it into white rice at destination, which can reduce import costs in some markets.
